Dr. Allen is the Owner/Director of two quality childcare program that specializes in servicing children with developmental delays. Dr. Allen is also the Director of the Direct Service Staff at Elwyn's SEEDS Early Intervention Program. Prior to her current role Dr. Allen worked in the School District of Philadelphia holding various roles within the school. Dr. Allen research includes infants and attachment to early childhood professionals, inclusive practices for children with special needs, and leading among leaders. Dr. Allen is the president of The Childcare Institute of America and a instructor for I.C.U. Inc. Dr. Allen has presented at various conferences, lectures, and provided professional development and coaching to new childcare programs. Dr. Allen understands the need for quality childcare programs and its impact on school readiness. Dr. Allen earned a doctoral degree in Education Leadership from Saint Joseph University. Dr. Allen holds two master's degrees one in Urban and Regional Planning and in Special Education. She also holds a Pennsylvania Teacher Certification, a Supervisor's certificate in Special Education and Curriculum and Instruction, and a School Leadership Certificate. Dr. Allen is a published author. Dr. Allen was born in the Philadelphia and graduated from Strawberry's Mansion High School in Philadelphia.
