Melinda has been involved in the field of education for 18 years. Her work includes experience with various age groups from young children to adults in the content areas of literacy and science education. She is currently is the Director of a Literacy Education Program funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and an Adjunct Instructor for Keystone College. She has taught CDA and Director's Credential Courses since 2013, is a PA certified science teacher and reading specialist. Her approach to literacy is from a whole language perspective balanced with explicit part language instruction within this context. Her passion for the early literacy instructional strategies including the Shared Reading Experience and the Language Experience Approach.
