This course provides an overview of classroom assessments of young children and how information from assessments can be used to inform instruction. Learners will explore four basic types of assessment: Screening, Diagnostic, Formative and Summative. They will use observation as an assessment strategy.  And they will use child assessment data by employing the Interpret-Act-Communicate model.  

Each module within the course has a test at the end. You must pass with a 90% in order to move on to the next module. You may take the test again if needed or review each module as needed.

-Explain basic features of effective assessments and describe four basic types of assessment: Screening,
