Kelly Armor has been a teacher trainer for over 15 years. She is currently the Folk Art Director at Erie Arts & Culture. From 2003 - 2018 she was the Education and Folk Art Director at the Erie Art Museum. She has a B.A. in Ethnomusicology and is a professional folklorist, teaching artist, storyteller, and musician. She initiated and directs the Old Songs New Opportunities project which trains refugees to work in early learning centers and to use their traditional songs on the job. This initiative has earned her state and national recognition. She is also on the PA Council on the Art's Teaching Artist Roster and has been an artist-in-residence at over 40 schools and community organizations. She is a student-focused, engaging instructor with a passion for inspiring creativity in others. She specializes in sessions about music, movement, visual arts, storytelling, and cultural diversity.
