Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) are a natural for toddlers as they are the ultimate scientists - always investigating, exploring and making new discoveries about the world around them. This session focuses heavily on the science and engineering aspects of STEM and ways to incorporate these important concepts into the toddler classroom. Come prepared for hands-on activities, including time outside to learn ways to weave in environmental science.

Learning Objectives

Students will be able to:

1. Identify the elements of STEM.
2. Explain why STEM is important in the toddler classroom.
3. Implement STEM activities that incorporate multiple elements of STEM.
